We met at 10.40 at Leigh Beck, Canvey after a bus ride.

Walked to the tearoom for refreshments and then from there along the newly repaired sea wall to the Lobster Smack for lunch. Despite the recent news that the wall was now complete there was still a distance of about half a mile which is still to be completed over the next few months. That just meant we had to walk along the adjacent road.

The forecast was for rain when we were walking but that didn't happen  but did come down rather heavily whilst we were eating in the pub. Fortunately, by the time we left the rain had stopped and we walked the last mile to the bus stop, completing a five mile walk.
