JOINT VISIT MACS AND WELLIES AND DRAWING AND PAINTING GROUPS:
Tuesday 8 July 2025; Visit to St Osyth Priory near Clacton

Firstly, our thanks to Sue Quattrucci for organising this event.

Macs and Wellies and some friends from Drawing and Painting had an organised day out at St Osyth Priory. We arrived at this splendid location and was greeted by a Trustee of the Priory together with staff and volunteers.  They all guided us on our walk through the Priory .

We were given the history of the Priory and saw many beautiful original pieces.  Later the head gardener joined us and spoke of the hard work it takes in trying to keep on top of everything.  Following our lunch we all thoroughly enjoyed a trailer tractor ride taking us around the 300 acres of the park land.

We were blessed with good weather and felt it was a peaceful calm place to be.  The information the guides shared with us was so interesting and learnt many new things.  So a big thank you to Sonia one of the Trustees and Nigel, Mary and Carol for sharing the day with us.  An unforgettable time was had by all and I am sure some of us would visit again.

Best wishes, Sue
