This meeting was held again at the Benfleet Yacht Club (thank you Marion) and our thanks to Suzanne for organising the meeting.
This event was primarily to thank all Group Contacts and other valuable volunteers for their input and efforts during the year. Without Group Contacts we would not have a working u3a so a big thank you to all.
Maria as Vice Chair introduced the meeting and there were a couple of important message:
- We need several Committee Members for vital roles at the September AGM. If any Group Contact feels able to come forward for a role please talk to any existing committee member. Also to identify members of your groups who have the skills and background to potentially fill a role e.g. Treasurer, Outings, Membership Secretary, Webmaster.
- To introduce Jane Murphy, who will become Bulletin Editor with husband Mike giving technical support. Her first bulletin will be for December 2025. Jane would like to get to know the main contributors from our membership.
- With currently no new webmaster identified, our website will be frozen once Alan steps down in September. To ensure that at that time the website is as accurate as it can be all Group Contacts (including those unable to attend) are requested to check their Group page on our website and advise Alan of any needed updates.
